GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY REPRESENTATION
Our attorneys are routinely involved in matters involving Tort Claims under N.J.S.A. 59:1-1, et seq., regulatory law, public bidding laws, construction contracts, construction litigation, the Open Public Meetings Act, the Open Public Records Act, interlocal agreements, workers compensation, labor law matters, personnel matters, various election issues and the general representation of governmental entities.
As counsel to public entities, our attorneys have attended public meetings as counsel to the governing body, negotiated collective bargaining agreements, prosecuted disciplinary actions before administrative tribunals and defended contractual arbitrations. We are able to provide advice and prepare resolutions, ordinances, agreements and other documents with respect to public bidding, construction, asset transactions, interlocal agreements and consolidation of municipal services. We also have extensive experience defending lawsuits filed against governmental entities. Our experienced litigators have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the rapidly changing field of public entity law.
Our attorneys have handled matters for the County of Bergen, the Clifton Board of Education, the East Rutherford Board of Education, the Borough of Haledon, the County of Hudson, the Borough of North Arlington, the Township of North Bergen, North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue, Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners, the Township of South Orange Village, Union City Board of Education, the Township of Vernon, the Township of Weehawken and the Town of West New York, as well as for GEICO insurance company. They have also handled assignments from the New Jersey School Boards Association Insurance Group and from joint insurance funds and risk management services companies.
